Exercises whilst sitting

It is a well-known fact that exercise is important for our overall well-being, however, it can also help to manage some of the symptoms of MS. There are all different kinds of exercise, so you should be able to find one that you can do and enjoy.

Many people enjoy gardening, walking the dog or playing a sport. A more gentle exercise could be Tai Chi or Yoga. Links to information about these two exercises can be found below.

For more information about exercising, the MS UK site has lots of useful hints and information about keeping active.

The next 2 links are to the articles about Tai Chi and yoga.

Here's a photo of Gill Ford, our MS Secretary on Shell Beach, Herm, showing how you can even take yoga outside in the fresh air!
