Have you recently been feeling anxious?

Have you recently been feeling anxious?

If you answered yes, you are not alone.  2020 has been a particularly difficult year for everyone, leaving people anxious about the future.  Stress levels have risen for many as a result, and anxiety is your body's natural response to stress. The trouble is, if you have MS then being anxious can make your symptoms worse.

What can you do to help beat anxiety?  Thankfully we live on a beautiful island that has, so far, dealt amazingly well with the coronavirus.  Long may that continue. I realise that many of you have loved ones living elsewhere that you are unable to visit, so that in itself brings on anxiety.

But what can we do now, to help alleviate our anxiety.  There are a number of things you can do to help reduce your stress levels.  Below you will find a number of actions that I have found on the internet, i am sure there are more!  If you would like to find out more about anxiety then please follow the 2 websites below:

  1. Get active
  2. Avoid caffeine
  3. Sleep well
  4. Stay connected to friends and family
  5. Do something you enjoy everyday
  6. Pick up a book
  7. Avoid alcohol
  8. Learn something new
  9. Take up yoga
