At the moment, there is no cure for MS. However, the good news is there is more research being undertaken than ever before with new therapies being tried. Scientists have become closer to the point where MS could be, for many, under control, and delaying the onset of further disability.
Research needs to be and is being carried out in three ways to prevent MS. The MS UK Society published an article back in 2017 which is still relevant today. They called this article ‘The research triple whammy that will stop MS’:

- Step 2: repair myelin
- Step 3: protect nerves from damage.
