Types of volunteer work in the Bailiwick of Guernsey
We hold many events throughout the year such as during MS Awareness Week when we have flag day and Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW). At other times of the year, we have a quiz, coffee afternoons, Christmas Fayre, Million Miles for MS and The Rowathon, (though don’t worry you wouldn’t have to row, it would be just to help collect money and cheer on the rowers!). For full details of events, see our 'events' page.
There are loads of things a volunteer could help with, from helping out on Flag days, collecting raffle prizes for events, distributing items for WOW and helping to run stalls at fayres......and if you find you enjoy it and have more time to give, then in turn we can offer more services to our members.
We often need new committee members. No particular previous experience is required, just a bit of enthusiasm and the odd new idea! We meet 10 times a year and usually have our meetings at a local restaurant over a bowl of soup or a sandwich. If you'd be interested in joining our committee get in touch.
